Once again, I received a product to review! Dear, Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist was gifted to me by Wishtrend. Upon becoming an affiliate, Wishtrend asked me about my skin type and sent this product for me to try. I think it's nice of them to evaluate my skin type first before sending me a product. The fact that they didn't just send me a random product to try makes me feel like they really care about their affiliates and customers. Without further ado, let's start with the review!

Product Review

My Skin Type: Combination, sensitive
If you've read my post about Laneige's Water Sleeping Mask, you'd know how disappointed I was with that product. Ever since that experience, I've been hesitant to try products that claim to be "hydrating/moisturizing". When I received Dear, Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist, I honestly thought it wouldn't be hydrating enough because it's just a mist. How powerful can a mist be?
I decided to try it for a few days. I wanted to see how it would perform when mixed with my skincare products and under makeup. So first, I decided to try it out after using my facial cleanser and AHA exfoliator (both from Krave Beauty). I don't really layer my skincare whenever I exfoliate, I always just top it off with a moisturizer. This time, I tried substituting my moisturizer with the Ampule Mist. Three sprays were enough to cover my entire face. It got absorbed into my skin pretty quickly and it does not feel sticky at all. It literally just feels like you sprayed water on your face since it doesn't have a scent and it's very gentle. The next morning, my skin didn't feel dry at all! It felt like it was well hydrated throughout the night. It worked really well with my current skincare routine.
Next, I tried it under my base makeup. So first, I applied some sunscreen, then the mist, primer, and lastly a matte foundation. I was out for a couple of hours on a hot day. I'm happy to say that it also performed well under my base makeup!
After continually testing it out for a few days, I finally welcomed it to my official skincare routine. I normally use it now after exfoliating twice a week. I also use this mist whenever I get too lazy to apply everything (maybe I should do a blog post about my lazy PM skincare routine?!) and whenever I do my makeup sometimes. Since it's a mist, it's very convenient to apply (I just have to spray 2-3 times) and it is more hygienic because you don't have to rub the product with your hands or reach into a tub full of product.
I also didn't have to apply moisturizer on my super dry areas when using this mist because it was hydrating enough on its own. The moisturizer I use daily is the COSRX Oil Free Moisturizing Lotion and it is my holy grail. I probably would not completely replace my moisturizer for this mist (or any other product for that matter) but it is worthy enough to be a substitute on certain days. Overall, I'm really impressed with this mist! I underestimated it at first, so now I'm taking back what I said. It is not JUST a mist, it is a powerful, hydrating mist!
I loved Dear, Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist, therefore, it deserves a...
★★★★★
5 out of 5 stars
This is a great product but not everyone is going to need it. Dear, Klairs is quite transparent about the purpose of this mist, which I really appreciate. They didn't claim it to be anything else other than a hydrating mist. It does exactly what it's supposed to and it does the job exceptionally well. It's effective, simple, and convenient! I highly recommend this product to people who have combo-dry, dehydrated, or sensitive skin.
